Playset Questions

What’s the difference between a Woodplay Outback and Playhouse playset?

The biggest difference is the base design.

Outback playsets have an open, angled A-frame base that leaves more room underneath the deck for active play and accessories.

Playhouse playsets use a square-base design that creates a more defined space underneath the deck, perfect for features like sandboxes, picnic tables, and imaginative play areas.

Those numbers refer to the height of the playset deck. A taller deck typically means a longer slide and a higher overall play experience. Choosing the right height is about more than your child’s age today. We want to help you choose a playset they can grow into rather than quickly grow out of.

 

Woodplay offers different deck sizes depending on the configuration. A Regular deck is typically 5′ x 5′, while an XL deck provides more room at approximately 5′ x 7′. That extra space can make a big difference when multiple kids are playing or when you want additional activities on the upper deck.

Think of a Combo as a starting point for designing your Woodplay playset. It combines popular playset components into a base configuration, which you can then personalize with your preferred deck height, deck size, slides, swings, climbers, and accessories.

It’s an easy way to start with a proven layout and make it your own.

A little regular care goes a long way. We recommend periodically inspecting your playset, tightening hardware as needed, keeping it clean, and protecting the wood with an appropriate stain and sealant.

What makes a Springfree Trampoline different?

The biggest difference is what Springfree takes away. Instead of traditional metal springs around the jumping surface, Springfree uses flexible composite rods positioned beneath the mat. The hard frame is also located below the jumping surface.

Combined with the SoftEdge™ mat and flexible FlexiNet® enclosure, the design helps reduce common impact points found on traditional trampolines.

Yes! Springfree Trampolines deliver plenty of bounce, but the feel is smooth and controlled thanks to the flexible rods beneath the jumping surface.

Springfree Trampolines have a maximum single-jumper weight of 220 or 220+ pounds depending on model, with a much higher structural load capacity. Because specifications can vary by model, we recommend checking the product details for the trampoline you’re considering.

Yes. Springfree Trampolines are designed for outdoor use with weather-resistant materials, including UV-stabilized components and a galvanized, powder-coated steel frame.

Basketball Hoop Questions

What is the regulation height for a basketball hoop?

Regulation rim height for high school, college, and professional basketball is 10 feet.

The good news? Many of our residential basketball systems are adjustable, so younger players can start lower and work their way up to regulation height as they grow.

Both are premium in-ground basketball systems, but they have different designs, features, adjustment systems, and model options.

Rather than telling you one is simply “better,” we’d rather help you choose the one that fits your player, driveway, budget, and priorities. Stop by the Toledo showroom and you can see the differences for yourself.

Many of our Goalrilla and Goalsetter systems feature easy crank-style height adjustment, making it simple to lower the rim for younger players and raise it as their skills develop. Adjustment ranges vary by model.

With many anchor-installed systems, yes! The basketball system bolts to a ground anchor installed in concrete rather than permanently embedding the entire pole.

That means the system itself can often be unbolted and moved to your next home, with a new anchor installed at the new location.

It depends on the hoop, backboard size, overhang, driveway layout, and where you want the rim positioned. We can help you think through pole placement and overhang so you get as much usable playing space as possible.

Delivery, Installation & Service

What should I do before installation day?

Every project is a little different, but you’ll generally want to make sure the installation area is accessible, cleared of obstacles, and ready for the equipment.

We’ll review the important details with you ahead of time, including site access, placement, underground utilities, and any preparation that may be needed.

Not necessarily, but the installation area does need to meet the requirements for the equipment you’re purchasing. A slight slope may be workable while a more significant grade could require additional site preparation.

If you’re unsure, send us photos or talk with our team before installation.

Yes. We’re not just here for the exciting part when the new playset, trampoline, or hoop arrives. Playground World Toledo can also help with service, maintenance, replacement parts, accessories, and other needs down the road.
