From Our Playground World Toledo Store to Your Backyard, Here’s How We Make It Happen

Step 1: We'll be in touch

Once we receive your order, a member of the Playground World Toledo team will review the details and reach out to you. We’ll confirm your order, talk through any important details, and answer questions you may have about delivery, installation, or preparing your space.

Step 2: Lock in install date

If professional installation is part of your purchase, we’ll coordinate a time for our installation team to get everything set up and ready for play. Weather, site conditions, product availability, and the type of equipment being installed can all affect scheduling. If anything changes, we’ll keep you informed.

Step 3: Install DAy

On installation day, our crew will contact you with an estimated arrival time. We’ll arrive ready to safely and securely install your new playset, trampoline, or basketball hoop in the agreed-upon location.Then comes the best part...it’s time to get outside and play!

A little prep goes a long way toward making installation day quick and easy. Before the Playground World Toledo crew arrives, take a few minutes to review the checklist below and make sure your space is ready to go. With everything prepped and accessible, our team can get right to work getting your new backyard fun set up and ready to enjoy!

Residential Play Sets

Installation Checklist

  • Have a Decision Maker On Site – Someone must be present the entire time to confirm placement and orientation.
  • Check Your Space – Review the Woodplay or Weaver catalog for dimensions. Allow a 3’–5’ safety zone around the set for safe play. (Example: A 16’ x 20’ set needs about 24’ x 28’ of space ±1’).
  • Level the Area – Installation site must be level or near-level. Our crew can dig in up to 3–4” if needed. Leveling blocks are $12.99 each if required.
  • Mind the Weather & Yard Conditions – Contact your sales rep if you have snow, heavy rain, or new sod. Avoid running irrigation 48 hours before install. We may reschedule due to unsafe conditions.
  • Pet Safety – Please ensure all animals are properly contained while our crew is on-site for installation or service to protect both our team and your pets.
  • Clear the Area – Remove debris, yard waste, and pet waste. Rescheduling due to this will incur a trip fee.
  • Know What’s Underground – We are not responsible for buried utility lines, irrigation, or sprinkler heads.
  • Clearance Matters – Our team cannot remove trees or shrubs for installation space.
  • Provide Power Access – Please have an accessible outlet for charging tools.
  • Payment – Balance is due at installation. Pay ahead, by QR code, or we can charge the card on file.

Recommended Maintenance

When Playground World installs your play system, we ensure it’s set up, leveled, and hardware tightened as agreed with you and our technician. Over time, cedar naturally expands and contracts with changes in moisture, which can loosen bolts and screws. This is normal, but it’s important to check and tighten hardware regularly, especially during the first 3–6 months, to prevent tilting, part separation, or uneven wear.

Seasonal Checklist:

  • Hardware: Check and tighten all nuts, bolts, and acorn nuts (to 5 ft-lbs torque).

  • Safety Components: Inspect swings, hangers, chains, ladders, slides, and ropes for wear or sharp edges; replace if needed.

  • Wood Care: Spot sand and stain any cracks or splinters.

  • Ropes & Slides: Ensure ropes are tight (no slack) and slides are secure with no gaps.

  • Moving Parts: Grease tire swing swivel.

  • Cleaning: Wash plastic parts with mild dish soap; clean vinyl-coated parts with a light bleach bathroom cleaner.

Staining & Sealing:
We recommend staining/re-sealing your cedar playset after the first year, then every two years. Use a high-quality, oil-based sealant such as Ready Seal Exterior Wood Stain – Redwood, available at any Playground World store.

Pro Tip: Playground World offers a full-service maintenance program, including power cleaning to remove mold, mildew, pollen, dirt, and debris before re-staining, keeping your set looking like new and protecting it from weathering.

Installation Checklist

  • Anchoring – If you didn’t purchase Springfree anchors, have a plan to secure your trampoline against high winds. Contact your sales rep to add anchors to your order.

  • Level Ground – The area must be level or near-level. Our crew can dig in up to 3–4” if needed. Leveling blocks are $12.99 each if required.

Recommended Maintenance

Your Springfree™ Trampoline is built with high-quality, weather-resistant materials, but like any outdoor product, it will experience normal wear and tear over time. Regular inspections and prompt part replacements will help maximize its lifespan.

When to Contact Playground World

If you notice any of the following, please reach out to us:

  1. Material flaws in the mat bed, mat edge system, or net

  2. Missing trampoline rods or rods disconnected from the mat

  3. Bent or broken frame

  4. Missing or damaged plastic edge fittings/cleats

  5. Missing or damaged enclosure support rods and fittings

  6. Missing C-clips from frame sockets

  7. Cracks or flaking in the PV coating on fiberglass rods

Note: Springfree FlexiRods™ rarely break or delaminate. If you see cracking or flaking, it’s usually sun damage to the UV-treated sleeve covering the rod. Over time, UV exposure may cause the sleeve to deteriorate faster depending on sunlight conditions.

Winter Usage & Care

Springfree Trampolines are designed for all-season fun, with:

  • Powder-coated galvanized steel frame

  • Rust-free composite rods

  • UV-resistant mat and enclosure

In winter:

  • Clear snow regularly with a soft-bristled brush or broom.

  • Do not use a shovel as it can damage the mat or net.

General Usage Tips

  1. Keep sharp objects and toys off the trampoline.

  2. Only use a soft rubber ball with the Springfree™ FlexRHoop™.

  3. Avoid clear plastic balls as they can magnify sunlight and burn holes in the mat.

  4. Jump in the center to extend the life of your mat and components.

  5. Don’t use the FlexiNet™ for jumping. It’s designed for safety, not as a rebound surface.

Installation Checklist

  • Utility Marking –

    • OUPS (Ohio Utilities Protection Service) will locate and mark utilities for free.

    • Electric (red) and gas (yellow) lines pose serious safety risks if damaged.

    • Cable/Internet (orange) lines are fragile and can be damaged by shovels.

    • Our crew will not dig within 3 feet of OUPS markings.

    • OUPS does not mark private lines (sprinklers, dog fences). Please notify the crew if present.

    • We are not liable for damage to buried utilities, irrigation, or sprinkler heads.

  • Backboard Overhang – Decide how much overhang you’d like:

    • More Overhang = better playability for layups and side shots.

    • Less Overhang = reduced risk of damage from driveway traffic.

  • Prepare the Work Area –

    • Direct the crew to a dirt/rock dump spot, water source (spigot), and accessible electrical outlet for tools.

    • Do not disturb fresh concrete for 48 hours.

  • Hole Size –

    • Standard flat yard: 18” x 18” cutout.

    • Negative slope: 18” diameter above-ground cardboard form (supplied at no cost).
